I was looking for a newsgroup about Microsoft Office, and happened in
here. I thought it might be interesting, but there doesn't seem to be to
much action here. I was in the joint once. Okay, so it was only a job
interview in the Stillwater hospital unit, but I got to walk through the
big house! Well, that was over 20 years ago, and probably a good thing I
didn't get the job: those guys would have eaten me for breakfast.

Anyway, I have a question. I saw a show on cable a year ago, called
Supermax or something. In one episode they described a prisoner so
dangerous that he's kept in Hannibal Lector-like captivity, like a glass
cage, lights on 24 hours a day, no human contact, in a basement at
Leavenworth I think. Is this story accurate? I tried to find a link
about him on the 'net, but found no leads. Anyone know his name?

Thanks!
Pete

Try looking at the newsgroup alt.prisons. It is a more active newsgroup.
I think the guy in Leavenworth has killed some corrections officers inside, as
well as whatever he did to get to Leavenworth in the first place.
I think he was mentioned in the book, "The Hot House", which is an excellent
book about Leavenworth.
